Toronto Island Lighthouse Celebrates 200th Anniversary

It started with a visit up its cool and winding staircase as we were told about its haunted past from a man who looked like he could've been a ghost himself. Today the dark side of its history will be forgotten as people celebrate at Hanlan's in honour of this, one of the oldest lighthouses on the Great Lakes.

Stay tuned for a special Spook in the City episode dedicated to the scintillating story of how one night of revelry turned to death and despair back at the lighthouse in 1815.
In the meantime, take in a Tale of Stifled Sails and Sunken Ships to learn more about the dark and dangerous waters off our shore.
